Nampa Christian Housing

Nampa Christian Housing, Inc. was founded in Nampa, Idaho in the late 1960s by members of the Nampa First Christian Church.  Their mission was to build an apartment complex which would serve as affordable housing for low-income seniors in the area.  Using the HUD 202 program, these founders designed and build an apartment building like none ever seen in Nampa.  Golden Glow Tower opened in 1969 with 64 rooms, including a live-in manager unit, a common area, and laundry facility.  At eight stories tall, it was the first, and so far, only, official high-rise building in the city.  Nampa Christian Housing (NCH)  continued to own and operate the building for over 50 years, always striving to keep rent affordable and keep the elderly population off the streets and out of homeless shelters.  In October 2023, NCH sold the original building to LEAP Housing.

Nampa Christian Housing is in the process of building additional low-income housing for senior and elderly people in the Treasure Valley.
